Internet Solutions (IS), a leading converged communications services provider, has reached an agreement with Cape-based InCite Smart Services (ICSS) to take a majority share in ICSS. The company will be renamed IS Gated Services (ISGS) and will provide intelligent services to gated commercial, business and residential complexes.
Hillel Shrock, director Business Solutions at IS, said the deal benefits both companies and their clients. “ISGS provides gated installations with services such as secure and reliable Broadband Internet, e-mail, telephone and Intercom Services. They have a good track record and reputation within property development and management entities, as well as within the communities they serve. This deal combines the country’s largest independent ISP, offering communication solutions, with the ISGS experience in providing target customers with tried and tested end to end services.”
Garth Dahl, joint managing director of ICSS says their community Internet and Telephony solutions bring massive savings to the users. “Our current telephony users save up to 30% on cell phone and international calls, save 100% on calls within the gated community, and receive reliable, always-on broadband connectivity at substantially reduced rates, as the costs are spread across the community. Having IS as our partner now allows us to take the business and its services to new levels. We are looking forward to having the full benefit of IS’ experience, market maturity and technology edge.”
In addition ISGS provides full PABX services enabling the telephones to double as an intercom facility. Users are typically residents and their families, businesses within office parks, and estate or business park security and management. The solutions are usually levy-driven by the body corporate of the residents’ association, or in commercial installations by the owners.
User communities currently include Island Club, Villa Italia, Knightsbridge, Oasis, Vision House and Sable Square Shopping Center amongst others.
